Essential Direct Ltd was formed in 1996 by the three present company director's. Initially based in SE London it relocated to it's present location in the heart of London's historic East End in 1998.

EDL prides itself on selling 12" vinyl dance music and is recognised in the UK as one of the most prominent distributors, employing a dedicated team who are both experienced and knowledgeable in their fields.

Specialising in garage and house music, with many exclusives, the company each week regularly sells product nationally and internationally and along the way EDL has helped to create a " buzz" for various worldwide number one hits. Owning two studios, EDL is also able to inspire up and coming talent to fulfil their dreams, create new material for the EDL labels and is also used regularly by established dance music industry names.

EDL is currently undergoing it's third phase of expansion. We are looking to build on not only our current customer base but also our future contacts in the UK and Internationally.
